Summer Quiz Week 20

Four more quizzes from our stalwart volunteers, Alan, Howard, Johns L and M. Who would have thought we would make it to 20 weeks! And now news that pubs have to close at 10.00 pm – probably a good thing that we’ve had to postpone the start of the season, as some of the, how shall we put it, teams that go in for prolonged deliberations, might have had trouble finishing in time!

Summer Quiz Week 18

Firstly, some news. In light of the continuing uncertainties we have decided to postpone both the final stages of last season and the first stages of this season. We’ve asked team captains for thoughts and feedback and will keep you posted as things move on.

Meanwhile, we’ll press on with the Summer Quiz although at some point it will have to change its name! Our thanks again to Alan M, John Mack and John and Helen L.

Summer Quiz Week 16

It’s Tuesday so summer quiz time, although looking out of the window at the rain it doesn’t feel much like summer here. Still, here are four more quizzes to keep us occupied. Thanks to Alan Morrison, John Mackintosh and John and Helen Lucas. (And we’re still looking for quiz-setting volunteers!)

Hope that clarifies the situation for everyone. Meanwhile back in the saner world of online quizzing here are this weeks offerings from John and Helen Lucas, John Mackintosh and Alan Morrison.

Summer Quiz Week 14

Welcome to ‘new’ quiz setter John Mackintosh this week. John’s a stalwart of the ‘actual’ summer quiz so it’s good to see him in this virtual world (and it means I can take a week off). And as usual, thanks to Alan Morrison and John Lucas for their quizzes.

Summer Quiz Week Whatever

Greetings from down the rabbit hole, or at least that’s what it feels like – like the Red Queen I’m trying to believe any number of impossible things before breakfast (like why we can’t have friends or relatives over to our house or garden but can go out to pubs, restaurants and cafes – as long as we don’t meet any friends or relatives there). We’ve decided on the easy option and just stay home.

Here are this week’s quizzes. Thanks as usual to Alan Morrison, John and Helen Lucas.

Summer Quiz Week 12

Here we are again, folks. For those who remember last week’s post (and let’s face it, by now we’re hard pressed to know what day of the week it is, let alone what happened 7 days ago) the ‘anyone, anyone’ quote comes from the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. If you’re interested you can see the clip on YouTube here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhiCFdWeQfA (You can skip the ad after 3 seconds)
